Senior Development Manager

The Senior Development Manager plays a key role in Allied Arts fundraising operations. They work to secure new donors and increase giving from existing donors. They develop bold giving ideas through a collaborative process with colleagues and senior leadership, based on research and experiences with donors. The Senior Development Manager also works with senior management, the Campaign Cabinet, and board members to increase revenue.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works as in integral part of the Development team to increase giving from new and existing donors

• Develop and execute personalized stewardship plans to engage and retain donors, including acknowledgment letters, updates on program impact, and invitations to special events to ensure their needs are met and their interests are tracked

• Identify and/or strengthen corporate partnerships, including sponsorships for events and workplace giving opportunities

• Sophisticated prospect research, identification, cultivation, solicitation skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and leverage relationships, inspire, engage and steward donors to retain and increase giving as well as attract new supporters

• Minimum of 3 years fundraising and event experience, with some management experience

• Demonstrated success record in key aspects of individual fundraising

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management tools (e.g., Salesforce CRM)

• Demonstrated ability to lead and maintain positive, collaborative, productive relationships with staff at multiple levels

• Sound judgment in maintaining confidentiality of donor information

• Bachelor’s Degree

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working in a team focused environment with other professionals, employees must regularly be able to detect, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, inspect, estimate, observe, and assess items, information, and objects in an office setting. Teamwork and communications are critical to our success and employees are regularly required to communicate clearly, in various settings. Regular business hours are from 8:30 – 5:00 M-F, with occasional off-site events requiring additional time on nights, weekends and early mornings. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
